Paul provides advice and recommendations to corporate and private clients in regard to site considerations, approvals management processes and strategic and growth opportunities in regard to development potential across a range of sectors in his role with Gilvear Planning, with particular focus on rural land and business opportunity, and issues associated with the ongoing operation of rural land uses in the face of urban growth pressures.

Leveraging his extensive experience as a director across a broad range of sectors and industries including primary industry, aged care, health and the environment, Paul provides pragmatic and practical advice to clients large and small.

Paul has previously practiced as a Qualified Survey Technician, was a local government Councillor for three terms, is actively involved in a range of Boards and continues to operate and expand the family cane farming business near Gordonvale.

Through this broad ranging experience, Paul has developed core skills in governance and understanding the operation of large organisations including budgets, risk management, capital project management, and stakeholder accountability. Paul has excellent communication skills and is able to build rewarding and productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Paul is an integral part of the Gilvear Planning team, not only in terms of the assistance he provides to our clients, but also the support he provides to Sera and Kristy in ongoing business growth and management.
